Are you ready to be a part of the Orchestra?

Violin

The violin is the smallest and highest sounding instrument in the strings family.  It frequently gets the melody (or tune) of the song.  Many students select the violin and LOVE it!

If you'd like to play the violin, we need to first make sure you get the correct size.  Please contact Mrs. Stone before purchasing any instruments.

Viola

The viola is one of the middle voices in the strings family.   Viola is played on your shoulder, and has a beautiful and rich sound.  Viola frequently plays the harmony part and counter melodies to the main tune.  Violas are a very important part of the orchestra.  Mrs. Stone started off playing viola ... and she ROCKS!

If  you'd like to play the viola, we need to first make sure you get the correct size.  Please contact Mrs. Stone before purchasing any instruments.

Cello

The cello is a beautiful instrument.  It plays in the lower range of sounds, and has a warm tone.  Cello is almost always played sitting, and a larger instrument.  This instrument is a very important part of the orchestra.

If you'd like to play the cello, we need to make sure that you get the correct size.  Please contact Mrs. Stone before purchasing any instruments.

Bass

The bass is the foundation of the Orchestra, and a very important instrument.  It plays the lowest notes in the Orchestra, and helps the entire group to sound better.  This instrument is very large, and some parents compare it to adding another child to their family.  We don't usually have many bass players, due to the size of the instrument, however they are a vital part of our group.

Please reach out to Mrs. Stone with any questions about playing the bass.  We need to make sure that you get the correct size, and that you have all the support you need for selecting the bass.
