I hope you are all having a great summer! We are looking ahead to our fall season, and we wanted to inform you of a few things.
Because Mr. Philips retired and because of COVID, Band camp has not been scheduled as of yet. But we are looking at doing either two weeks before the start of the year (August 10-15 ish) or the next week (August 17-21 ish). The camp will be roughly 3 days long (but not all day). We will talk more about it at the information night.
We will have a student and parent informational meeting on Tuesday July 28th @ 7pm in the Auditorium. Please plan on having at least one parent and the student participating for the year. We will have information about the upcoming year and about the program. This night is required if you want to participate in marching band (conflicts of the night can be sent to Mr. Miller to be worked out separately. Email with concerns: email@example.com).
Finally, we have an amazing opportunity to get more funding for our program! We are always in need of new instruments and supplies, and we have been invited to get involved with the Gold Card Blitz Night. It is August 18th starting at around 4:30. This is a great time to get together with friends and make some money for the program. We need AT LEAST 25 students to do it from band to represent, but the more the merrier! We want to show everyone that we are the BIGGEST and BEST activity our school has to offer.
