On this page you will find all things related to insurance. Certified employees who work 0.46 FTE or more and classified employees who work 17.5 hours/week or more are eligible for benefits. Please use the menu below for information on:

Benefits Information

  • More information will be posted here ahead of the next open enrollment.

  • New employees are eligible for benefits the 1st of the month following eligible employment. If you have questions regarding benefit eligibility, please reach out to benefits@bsd44.org

     

    Effective Dates: September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026

    ~~Open enrollment will be held in Spring or Summer of 2026 for the next benefits plan year.~~

    Once you have signed up for benefits as a new employee (30-day window), you will need to wait to make any changes (add or remove coverage, add or remove dependents or waive health (Medical/Dental/Vision) insurance) until the next Open Enrollment without a Qualifying Event.

    Please plan your coverage accordingly for the entire plan year.

    HEALTH, DENTAL, AND VISION
    Joint Powers Trust (JPT) – Online Enrollment and Waivers Only (no paper forms) 

    • Employee Web Portal Access: go online to register at Employee Navigator.
    • Employee will need:
      • Company Identifier: BSD44
      • Employee's last 4 of SSN
      • Employee's first and last name
      • Employee's date of birth

    Health Savings Account (HSA) – American Fidelity

    • You must submit a new deduction authorization every year.
    • Please make an appointment with an American Fidelity representative to enroll.
    • If you currently have an HSA with Stockman or First Security you can TRANSFER your funds from the bank to an American Fidelity account- Please schedule a meeting with an American Fidelity representative.
    • If you currently have an HSA with Stockman or First Security, you can opt to STAY with your bank. You will need to fill out a new HSA Payroll Deduction Authorization Form and return it to Ruth Hardesty in the Benefits Office at the Administration building.

    • Payroll authorization deductions have a deadline of August 30, 2023 into the Benefits office to take effect on your September check.

    Lincoln Financial Life Insurance

    • All employees will be required to update their beneficiary for their district provided life insurance policy in the Employee Navigator portal alongside your election or waiver of your insurance benefits.
    • Employees have the opportunity to elect additional coverage for themselves, spouses, and children.

    MetLife is the provider for dental insurance. There are two options available for eligible employees. You can access the dental patient portal at MetLife Services and Solutions

    MetLife/VSP is the provider for vision insurance. You can access the vision patient portal at MetLife Services and Solutions

  • Belgrade School District offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no charge for benefits eligible employees. This includes  counseling sessions, a digital emotional wellbeing program, work-life web services, financial wellness, legal services, and identity theft resolution.  These programs provide confidential assistance with a wide variety of resources that are readily available by making a phone call or visiting the EAP website , and that information is as follows:
