Application Process
The first step to join our substitute teacher team is to apply! The Online Application is linked below. Once your application is received, we will contact you via email to schedule your Background Check and Fingerprinting (required) and provide you with any other information needed.
Digital fingerprints are done at the District Office (at no cost to you), located at 312 N. Weaver St in Belgrade.
Once the results are returned and there are no concerns we will reach out to you directly to move forward in the hiring process.
Any non-certified substitute teachers will be required to complete a mandatory 3 hour training provided by the Office of Public Instruction. This information and training link will be provided to you upon completion of your substitute application. Once completed, you will be sent a certificate of completion that can be dropped off or emailed to Colleen Karls, ckarls@bsd44.org.

Dear Substitute Teacher,
Welcome to the Belgrade School District! We are so excited that you will be joining our team as a Substitute Teacher.
Our exceptional teachers and administrators are the key to providing outstanding instruction and a great learning environment for students. The District employs approximately 500 staff members, and frequently has a need for quality substitute teachers. In an age of accountability, we look for passionate and highly qualified instructors who will provide optimal learning experiences for students.
This information is designed to serve as a brief introduction to the Belgrade School District, and to provide resources that will help you prepare to educate, supervise, and elevate students.
