New employees are eligible for benefits the 1st of the month following eligible employment. If you have questions regarding benefit eligibility, please reach out to benefits@bsd44.org. 

Effective Dates: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025

This is the only time of year you can add or remove coverage, dependents or waive health (Medical/Dental/Vision) insurance without a Qualifying Event.

Please plan your coverage accordingly for the entire plan year.

HEALTH, DENTAL, AND VISION

Joint Powers Trust (JPT) – Online Enrollment and Waivers Only (no paper forms) 

• Employee Web Portal Access: go online to register at employeenavigator.com
• Employee will need:
  • Use of Company ID: BSD44
  • Employee's last 4 of SSN
  • Employee's first and last name
  • Employee's date of birth
• JPT Details – Rate sheets (9 month, 12 month)

Health Savings Account (HSA) – American Fidelity

• You must submit a new deduction authorization every year.
• Please make an appointment with an American Fidelity representative to enroll.
• If you currently have an HSA with Stockman or First Security you can TRANSFER your funds from the bank to an American Fidelity account- Please schedule a meeting with an American Fidelity representative.
• If you currently have an HSA with Stockman or First Security, you can opt to STAY with your bank. You will need to fill out a new HSA Payroll Deduction Authorization Form and return it to Ruth Hardesty in the Benefits Office at the Administration building.

• Payroll authorization deductions have a deadline of August 30, 2023 into the Benefits office to take effect on your September check.

Lincoln Financial Life Insurance

• All employees will be required to update their beneficiary for their district provided life insurance policy in the Employee Navigator portal alongside your election or waiver of your insurance benefits.
• Employees have the opportunity to elect additional coverage for themselves, spouses, and children.

MetLife is the provider for dental insurance. There are two options available for eligible employees. You can access the dental patient portal at mybenefits.metlife.com.

Belgrade School District offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no charge for benefits eligible employees. This includes  counseling sessions, a digital emotional wellbeing program, work-life web services, financial wellness, legal services, and identity theft resolution.  These programs provide confidential assistance with a wide variety of resources that are readily available by making a phone call or visiting the EAP website , and that information is as follows:

Belgrade School District has selected American Fidelity as our new benefits enrollment provider.  During open enrollment, American Fidelity’s account managers will be meeting with all benefit eligible employees. Understanding how your benefits work is very important. Your account manager will educate and enroll you in your medical, dental, and vision insurance. They will also help walk you through all available supplemental options, answer questions, and help you build a package that’s perfect for you.

Flex (FSA - Flexible Spending Accounts) will not rollover year-to-year- it is a yearly election.  It is also a Use It or Lose It account.

If you currently have an HSA with Stockman or First Security you can opt to stay with your bank. You will need to fill out a NEW Payroll Deduction Authorization and return it to Gina Stopka in the Benefits Office at the Administration Building.

Payroll Authorization deductions have a deadline of August 30, 2021 to be into the Benefits office to take effect on your September check.
