Can the Griz Food Drive

The BMS Student council is collecting food to donate to the "Can the Griz" food drive to participate in the competition between Montana State University and the University of Montana. Food will be collected in advisories, from Monday, November 9th, through Friday, November 13th, in a friendly, school wide competition. Hams, Turkeys, and shelf-stable, nonperishable, items are welcomed.

Student-led Conferences

Belgrade Middle School will be holding conferences on November 3rd and 5th. This year, all grade levels will be holding student-led conferences.  Student-led Conferences is an “Open House” format with specific start times in your child’s Advisory class. Sign up times are from 4:00-5:00, 5:00-6:00, and 6:00-7:00 with the first half of the hour being with your students advisory and the second half you and your student can visit their other teachers. Your student will have a portfolio to show and discuss with you.  The portfolio will contain samples of student work from different curriculum areas.  Your child’s job is to show/tell you about what they are learning and progress being made.  While parents and students are visiting in the classrooms, the teacher will visit briefly with each of you--sharing information about learning styles, work habits, etc.  There will also be the opportunity to visit with all teachers during an open conference time each night.

All Advisory teachers have emailed out a Sign Up through ParentSquare. If you do not receive the email, please contact your student’s advisory teacher.

Helpful tips and tricks:

If you know you are picking up your student ahead of time, it is always helpful to call the office in the morning. Especially, if you know you are picking them up around lunch time, as lunch time is very busy here at the middle school.
